SCUBA Certification and Dive Trip Have you ever thought of getting certified for Scuba Diving?  If so this is your chance.  The EDGE will be having a Scuba certification class offered by SCUBA Sciences.  Sign up now!

It is going to be a great class thought by some of the top instructors and open to the whole family.  The class will end with a 2 days of certification dives off the BEAUTIFUL Coast of California. The dives in CA will be open to already certified divers.

CCW Permit Class January 23rd

CCW Permit Class offered this summer.  Have you or a friend thought about obtaining your Concealed Carry Weapons Permit but didn't know who or where to go.  Well here is your chance.  Rick Ueable, one of Arizona's top instructors  is offering a one day class just for you.  Last one sold out and there is limited space available for this one.  So make sure to R.S.V.P.

When: January 23rd, 2010

Where:PV1 at C.C.V.  7007 W. Happy Valley Rd. for the lecture portion from 8am-3:00pm. Ben Avery Shooting Range for the shooting portion from 3:30pm-5pm.  Make sure to show up at least 15 minutes early for check in.

Cost:  $99 for the class.  $60 for the certification (certification is optional)

ATV & UTV Rides

Do you Ride an ATV or UTV.  It is now the perfect time of year for rides.  Weather is great! Keith Coddington is starting to put together group rides on the weekends and is planning to put together a dunes trip in 2010.  If you are interested even if you don't have a ride of your own but would like to go, contact Keith Coddington at k9keith@gmail.com This is fun for the whole family.  So stop living your life on pause and push it to the EDGE in 2010.

TRI the EDGE

Do you TRI or want to TRI?  This is the BEST time of the year to start training.  Weather is great!  The Holiday Bulge and New Years resolution time is here! 

2009 was a great year for the EDGE. A lot of new faces out there racing in everything from Sprints to Ironman.

2010 season is on us. So pull out your calenders and pick those races and dates.  Commit to a training plan and  Let's "Push it to the EDGE" Big time this year. 

Let me know what races you are planning on competing in this year. Anyone shooting for a World Championship Qualifier?

We want to coordinate more group rides, runs and open water swims this year.

Tour de EDGE

 EDGE now has a cycling team.

If you are an "A" rider or just  thinking about getting in to riding come join the EDGE cycling team.  There are weekend rides, training tips and clinics.  We will also be putting together teams to compete in races like the Tour de Scottsdale,Tour de Tuscan  and many others.

EDGE takes 1st at Arizona State Track and Field Championships.

Chris Franks represented the EDGE Big-Time at the Arizona State Track and Field Championships this weekend.  This picture shows Franks closing the the gap in the final turn then he blew past the two guys to take finish 1st in the 800m.  He also took 2nd in the 400m that same day.  Great Job Chris!  Keep living life on the EDGE!

‘Drive for A Ride’ Golf Tournament April 8th

Put together your 4 Man team for a Scramble Charity Golf Tournament and make a difference for a true EDGE man Peter Nearman on Wednesday April 8, 2009.  Peter Nearman suffered a tragic injury , a broken neck, while on vacation in in Hawaii body surfing two years ago which has left him permanently in a wheel chair. A handicapped accessible van has been donated, but needs to be properly equipped for driving. Once retrofitted it would allow Peter the Ability to DRIVE and regain an enormous part of his life that so many of us take for granted daily.  All the proceeds from this event will go towards this.  So come join us for an incredible day of golf and for a worthwhile cause.  For more info and to register yourself or team click here.
